Weekly Catalog Update for 12/6

PLCB spirits catalog changes for the week of December 6th:

Boulard XO is the big brother of the Boulard Grand Solage, which was the only calvados in stores until the Morice came along. There aren't a lot of reviews of it out there, but it was #2 in a New York Times apple brandy ranking in 2004. PBI gave us a great price on it though--it's listed for $90 and up in NY.

I gushed about Compass Box back in November, but a few people noted that one Compass Box expression was missing: the controversial Spice Tree. As it turns out, the PLCB held out for a better price on the Spice Tree, and that's why it arrived a little later than the rest of the range.

Southern finally listed this year's Four Roses Limited Edition bourbon. I tried it at the Pittsburgh Whiskey Festival and loved it, but wasn't really in shape to write tasting notes, so I'll just link to Drinkhacker's review.
