Weekly Catalog Update for 11/15

PLCB spirits catalog changes for the week of November 15th:

New in-store and online products:

• Buffalo Trace White Dog Mash 1 Whiskey 375 ML (#030570, Online, $16.99)
• Pinnacle Whipped Cream Flavored Vodka 1.75 L (#003084, Regular, $25.99)

The online store got a few cases of BT's "white dog"--their unaged distillate. It's not something I'd drink regularly, but it can be used effectively in cocktails, and whiskey fans will find it interesting to taste in comparison with BT's whiskeys.

• Germain Robin Select Barrel Brandy XO California 750 ML (#010879, Limit Dist, $99.99)
• Partida Tequila Blanco 750 ML (#010918, Limit Dist, $52.99)

Despite years of great press, Germain-Robin produces some of the most under-appreciated brandies in the world. They make their brandy from higher-quality grapes than most brandy producers (including those in Cognac, France) and the results are astounding. Check out their website for some "mind-blowing reviews".

I'm sad to see the Rosangel go. It's a unique product and a great way to get novices into tequila. Unfortunately it's on the pricey side for what it is.
