Bols is another good cordial maker, and if I ever made anything with peach schnapps I probably would have used theirs. On the other hand, I haven't felt like drinking a Sex on the Beach or a Fuzzy Navel since college, and by now all my friends know they can get something a million times better if I'm behind the bar.

Two new pear liquors out, one from Berentzen, who makes the only apple schnapps you should ever buy, and one from St. George, whose fruit-based products tend to be excellent. If only I liked pears more...
Tub Gin is a Pennsylvania product, almost. The brand is owned by Red Tettemer, a Philadelphia advertising firm, while the production and distribution is handled by Ska Brewing Company in Colorado. Yup, the PR agency actually owns the brand, and as you'd expect they've put together a classy (even edgy) website. No word yet on how the gin actually tastes.

Does the "specialty" mean that is has to be SLO'd or that it is carried only by certain PLCB stores?
"Specialty" means that either the product is available on the PLCB online store only, or that it is carried on the shelf in the PLCB's "Premium Collection" stores. There are about a dozen of these around Pittsburgh and Philly, and most other cities have one or two.
It looks like Tub Gin is an Internet-only product, so you can order a bottle online and have it delivered to any PLCB store for a $5 shipping charge. (Note that the PLCB online store is different from the SLO system...how many different liquor purchasing methods can they come up with?)
